2009-2010 Nevada State FFA Officers' Farewell Messages

Dear Nevada FFA,

I would like to thank you for the most memorable year of my life. I began my year of service with the intention of leaving a positive impact on the lives of the members I interacted with, however, now as my year of service ends I realize that I was the one who has been forever impacted. Nevada FFA has the best members around. Everyone of you has your own special talents, abilities, and traits that makes all of you unique. This combination of members made for some great times and countless new friends who I know I will stay close to for years to come. Nevada FFA keep striving for excellence and spreading the knowledge of agriculture to the public. As FFA members we have the responsibility to be good role models in our communities and to always serve as strong leaders for fellow members. The FFA will open numerous doors for you and it is up to you to take those opportunities and make the most of them. You have the ability to do whatever you set your mind to. Nevada FFA never stop striving to reach your full potential and you will all be your own success.

Thank you for the best year of my life,

Casey Gallagher
2009-2010 Nevada FFA State President

Dear Nevada FFA,

Wow, what a year! I can’t think of the words to explain all that I’ve experienced these past 12 months…Anyone who knows me will say that I usually write novels when describing anything, so this is an unusual occurrence… haha…  Looking back, though, I have no idea how to succinctly say goodbye to the state that has given me so much. All I can say is entering FFA as a sophomore opened my eyes to a whole new world, and being a state officer let me experience that world first-hand. I’ve experienced things I never thought I would. I learned about the organization and about myself: who I am, who I want to be, what I can do, what I can improve, and what I want out of my life. I also learned about this great state and about the members who make it so extraordinary. Yes, I’m talking about you!!!

I want you all to know that each and every one of you has left footprints in my heart, and I will never forget the time I shared with you! YOU  made my year of service so meaningful and YOU made the endless hours of hard work and weeks of sleepless nights worthwhile, and for that, I thank you! You’ve changed my life, and it truly was my pleasure being an officer for the Nevada FFA Association. So, thank you! Thank you for one of the greatest years of my life! Thank you for the memories! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to grow as a leader! And thank you for impacting my life in such a significant way!

I hope that this year will be better than the last, and that you stay true to your heart and always follow your dreams! God Bless!!!

Nevada FFA,

I would like to start this off with one big THANK YOU.  I couldn’t thank each and every person in this association enough for the experiences I have had as a State Officer. I have enjoyed every minute of my state officer year, serving the members and the association.  I wouldn’t trade my time in for anything.  I would like to thank the members for their fun attitudes and for the good times, and memories they gave me.  I would like to thank the advisors for their continued support of the FFA, and allowing us to come into their chapters.  I would like to thank Mr. Barbee and Mrs. Dye for all that they do for this association and the members in it.  During this year I have learned so much about Nevada, and its agriculture.  I have enjoyed learning about members, and their endeavors as well.

As I retire from my office I will leave with a sense of gratitude.  I will also leave looking for great things that are yet to come from Nevada FFA and it’s members.  I am confident that this association will continue to grow and do great things.

Once again I would like to say thank you to everyone who has been involved in my year, and thank you to those who continue to support Nevada FFA.

Sincerely,

Jackie Dulgar
2009-2010 Nevada FFA State Secretary

Nevada FFA,

Thank you for an amazing year!!! This past year has been one of the most memorable years of my life. I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to serve you. This past year has been one that I will never forgot. My favorite part was making friends with all of you. Each and every person that I met this past year has left a mark on my life.

I started this year with one goal and that was to serve others. I hope that I have fulfilled my goal and served you all well. I have learned three major things from this year:

1. I can function without sleep and food. (Didn’t think that was possible)

2. Nevada FFA members are the greatest people that can be found anywhere.

3. I will never forget what it means to be a Nevadan.

Nevada FFA thanks you for one of the best years of my life. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!!!

Sincerely,

Michelle Gibbons
2009-2010 Nevada FFA State Treasurer
