2007-2008 Nevada State FFA Officers' Farewell Messages

Hello Nevada FFA!

This year has flown by! I can't believe I'm already writing this when it really feels like I was just reading the 2006-2007 Nevada FFA State Officer Farewell letters! I have watched many of you grow and succeed this year while I was serving you as your 2007-2008 Nevada FFA State President. I have met so many great people being a state officer and have grown closer to the ones I already knew.
I thank each and everyone of you for being some of the greatest people I know. I am sure that you will go far in your life and will succeed as long as you take all the lessons that you learned in the FFA. I encourage each of you, to recruit your friends so that they can too have all the amazing experiences in this great organization. This past year has been a year full of ups and downs, busy times and not so busy times, and a year full of growth and learning. But in the end, I have grown and met so many young talented, motivated people. I want you to know that I will never forgot any of you and the times that I have had with you.
To end this letter I have a quote by an unknown author, "How lucky am I to have something that makes saying good bye so hard." Thank you Nevada FFA for a year full of growth and experiences that I will never forget. Be well, do good work, and keep in touch.

Jake Baker
2007-2008
Nevada FFA
State President

Nevada FFA Members,

Each and every one of you has an amazing potential to achieve anything! I know this because you are all members of the FFA. A lot of you, especially freshmen, probably don't realize what the FFA can do for you and I don't think you really realize how far you've come until it's almost over; I know I didn't. As I look back on the past five years of FFA, I know I wouldn't be where I am today if it hadn't been for this organization. So as a few words of advice--take advantage of this organization, the advisors, and the connections and resources you have at your fingertips. No matter what you're interested in, the FFA can help get you there.

I have had so much fun working with all of you this year from COLT in the west to chapter visits in the southern zone to zone competitions in the north. I want to thank all of you for making this an incredible year, even with a few setbacks (Tahoe fire cancelling SLC:)). I wish you all the best of luck in all of your endeavors and remember 'if you don't risk anything, you risk everything'.

Sincerely,
Danielle Longley
2007-2008 Nevada State Vice President

Nevada FFA – Thank you for an amazing year. I know it didn’t go exactly as we had planned, but you all taught me so much more than I ever imagined. I hope you all keep your FFA excitement and keep reaching for your goals. You were what made this year one of the best in my life. Keep striving for your very best and accomplish all of your goals. Best of luck wherever life takes you!
Megan L Jackson
2007-2008 State Secretary

This year has flown by! It was filled with struggles, good times, and many learning experiences. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. FFA has given me the opportunity to soar and without FFA I would not be the person I am today. I feel blessed with the opportunity to give back to the FFA for what it has given me with in my year of service, but in comparison I feel it doesn’t match up. I want to thank all of my advisors, teammates and friends I have had throughout my five years in this great organization. These people have been there for me, taught me loads, and gave me some of my fondest memories. I could only hope that every FFA member gets what I have gotten out of this organization, and that they succeed at all of their wildest goals and dreams!

Jasmyn Jones
2007-2008 State Treasurer

Hello one and all! Wow! I can’t believe that I’m already writing this thing! This year has flown by. I have learned so much through the year, not only about those around me, but also about myself. From being a freshmen Greenhand member to a Nevada FFA State Officer, I have enjoyed every single time in the Blue and Gold Jacket. And that is due to the wonderful people living in this great state. You. Every time I travel away from this state, when returning I always get the feeling of excitement to be back in the presence of such amazing people. I say that it is a privilege to know such people. I want to thank the members of this great organization for making Nevada such a great place to live. If there were any advice I could leave you with it would be this: never take your struggles as discouragement. Rather use them to help you get to your personal success. So, I ended my beginning of the year introductions with a quote and now I am ending my year with the same. “Failure is not failure. Failure is preparation for success.”
Love always,
Lacey Sproul 2007-2008 NV FFA State Reporter

Nevada FFA, thank you for the wonderful memories this year. I have had an amazing year serving you as a state officer. I hope you continue to find success within the FFA.
